What was your total radiation dose?

Actually, I don’t know for sure. I started traveling to Chernobyl long before I decided to write a book and by the time I actually did start writing, it seemed pointless to get one of those clip-on dosimeters that would have measured my accumulated dose. But I did calculate a very, very rough estimate of my exposure (which is a pretty good estimate of my dose) as 25 milliroentgens.
