The Elephant's Foot
The “elephant’s foot” is one of the solidified masses of the fuel that melted in the graphite fire. It is so radioactive, the photographer had to quickly dart in and out of the room to take this picture. The tiny colored dots you'll see if you zoom the photo were caused by the radiation.
