The official name of the Sarcophagus is the "Shelter Object". At the visitors center, there are videos and photo albums about how it was built and large displays about the multinational, billion dollar project to built a new, safe confinement to enclose it.

On the right, closest to the Sarcophagus, radiation exposure is about 600 microroentgens. Outside, on the balcony, it exceeds a milliroentgen. Just six meters away by the door on the left, it drops to 40.
