Of the zone's large animals, wild boar rule. But that doesn't mean you'll see them all the time. I once saw a huge herd that I describe in Chapter 5. And on my last trip at the beginnning of April, 2006, I saw two. But signs of boar are everywhere, like this plowed up field in the buried village of Kopachi, in the ten-kilometer zone.
