These pictures aren't great because I couldn't get very close. The stallion and alpha mare kept a close watch the whole time and every time I took a step closer, they took a step away. This mare and youngster kept their distance the whole time. Their shyness may be a result of poaching. Even Vypad's herd, which let us get quite close to take the pictures that open this gallery, has become more wary. Most of the poached horses have been from his herd.
